WPF

Alan’s recommend using WPF, first look it looks scary and rather pointless. Anyway, I looked into it further, seems pretty cool. Anyway, I’m rebuilding dbSend using Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF).

I’ve rebuild the SFTP and ZIP library too, so all the source code is in the one project (3 sub parts). I’m working on rebuilding the main program so it uses less static strings, this should be more secure, also I want to use an XML config file. The (WPF) GUI will be wizard-style rather then the single panel, the idea is so the end user can end settings alot more easier.

I also need to work on the error handling, I’ve picked up on a few, still most are down to misconfiguration. I also need to work on locking the database, a custom Windows Event viewer (dbSend filtered), a method to re-attempt to upload and possiblibly, secure deletion of the temp files, still I also need to fix the cleanup code!
